Good evening!
I am try to monitoring several esx5.5 servers using check_vmware.pl script by Steve Shipway.
I have installed the pluging requirements as NagiosXI shows. User and group for both check_vmware.pl and check_vmware_config_vcenter01 are nagios, nagios.
I have installed VMware-vSphere-Perl-SDK-5.5.0--1384587.i386.tar.gz.
Althoug it seems that perl is well installed, when I try to execute check_vmware.pl, nagiosxi shows a message like that:

check_vmware.pl : /usr/bin/perl^M bad interpreter

Could somebody help me?

Thank you so much.

Easy fix. You probably copied this from a Windows system, and Windows likes to add weird characters to files sometimes:

Thank you!!
Check_vmware.pl works but now I´ve an error with nagios services

UNKNOWN: Login to virtualcentre server failed: server version unavailable at ' https://srv-vcenter.xxxxxx:443/sdk/vimservice.wsdl' at /usr/local/share/prl5/vmware/vicommon.pm line 545

VCenter is on W2012 R2. Doesn´t this pluging work on 2012?

Actually, that error is saying that your login failed. From what I recall, you must use a local user and not an Active Directory user for all vmware checks presently. Might that be the issue?
