Monitoring bandwidth by lower/higher limit

Hi,

We have one situation to monitor the bandwidth of the port of the router. There are 4 decoder inputs(100Mb each) to one switch then the output(400Mb) go to second router. What we want to monitor is the input to router bandwidth. If the input bandwidth is lower than 300Mb, we want to send the warning. If the input is higher than 400Mb then we also want to send the warning. Can I monitor like that?

Previously I only tested with higher than 70 send the warning, higher than 90 send the critical.

Thanks.

Potentially, depends on th plugin. What plugin and full check are you currently using for this bandwidth check?

Currently I am using the default plugin(check_xi_service_mrtgtraf). Let me know you have other plugin to cover our requirement.

Thanks.

You can definitely edit the service definition for these bandwidth checks, simply bump up the warning and critical I/O values. You can alternatively run the switch & router wizard against that same host address to re-configure those bandwith checks en masse.
