Return code of 255 is out of bounds

Hi,

i have install nagios 4.0 on a server and its working fine for localhost after that i have setup a linux host to monitor
when i added to nagios and went to see from web interface, its showing me following error for every service .

CPU Load
CRITICAL 05-08-2014 11:43:03 0d 1h 37m 29s 3/3 (Return code of 255 is out of bounds)
Current Users
CRITICAL 05-08-2014 11:44:21 0d 1h 36m 12s 3/3 (Return code of 255 is out of bounds)
FTP Monitoring
CRITICAL 05-08-2014 11:46:00 0d 1h 34m 33s 3/3 (Return code of 255 is out of bounds)
SSH Monitoring
CRITICAL 05-08-2014 11:43:25 0d 1h 35m 54s 3/3 (Return code of 255 is out of bounds)
Total Processes
CRITICAL 05-08-2014 11:45:33 0d 1h 35m 0s 3/3 (Return code of 255 is out of bounds)


while i am running the command on linux host to check the services its fine and providing expected results.

but not working from nagios server.

can u please help me to figure out and resolve this issue.

What are the permissions on those files, on the remote system? Also are you using an agent or check_by_ssh to check that system remotely?

its resolved.

issue was with the nrpe

i added the server ip in remote hosts's nrpe.cfg file. its works now.
