Hi,

Nagios email quote:
Nagios XI 2014 features substantial improvements over previous releases including an upgraded monitoring engine, advanced visualizations and reporting features,
NagVis version is 1.5.9 (2011-04-18). The same as old NagVis as in previous Nagios major version.
Current NagVis version is 1.7.10 (2013-11-20).
We expect for paid nagios version better support and visualization.

NagVis is far from being the only visualization platform in Nagios XI. If you have noticed, we now use Highcharts for our graphing, and we have added several improvements such as stacked graphs, custom time ranges/zoom capability, etc. In addition there have been *many* performance improvements and functionality additions, not to mention a new interface and reports.

Thanks for reply.
Have we missed any new visualisation with auto map?
It is good to monitor and collect data, but visual presentation important for managers to control situations and make decision to buy or not to buy nagios.
My manager expect to see nagios visualisation on wall monitor in office...

P.S. NagVis made some changes in configuration since 1.5.9. It would make migration to new NagVis version more painful.
P.S.S. I wish nagiosxi updated NagVis inside.

I will revisit upgrading nagvis. The automap in newer nagvis versions require livestatus as ndomy was deprecated. I did test upgrading nagvis a while back on 2012 and it worked, but there were few hangups that had to be resolved.
