MIGRATING FROM 2012R2.9 to 2014R1.0

I have setup a new vm running V2014R1.0 deployed from OVF Template. When restore the backup from my 2012R2.9 version on the new VM running 2014R1.0, it automaticly rollback to 2012R2.9.

How can i update my current nagios to without loosing everything ?

Backups are used to restore *everything* including the XI system files, which means the 2012 version of the files. Take a look at this thread, the linked post in particular:
