Top Level Device Network Outage

Hi There,

I am running Nagios XI 2014R1.0 upgraded from NagiosXI2012R2.9 on a CentOS OVF template. We have 2 Cisco 6506 switches which I have as the top level parents. Since upgrading to 2014R1.0 I am seeing a network outage on these switches in Tactical Overview:

Code: Select all

Network Outages
Severity	Host State Duration Hosts Affected	Services Affected
826 6506-01	Up 43d 2h 23m 18s	383 1773
826 6506-02	Up 15d 7h 11m 45s	383 1773
The switches have a HSRP address which I am using as the next level down but I have removed this for testing and am still seeing the top level network outage. Another thread suggested checking Nagios Core (http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... age#p91510) which I have done - Nagios Core does not show the network outage so I am not sure where to go from here.

We're currently tracking this and there is a "possible bug" report in our system which is being tracked by the devs. We'll let you know if anything is found and if there is indeed a bug, we will provide a fix via these threads, and in the release following it's fix.

No problem. If you want to follow on the progress, you can ask about an internal bug report with a Task ID = 2819.

I've applied the patch form this forum post - http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... 16&t=27222 and happy to say it has fixed the problem.

Many Thanks
