Anyone with offloaded DB upgrade to 2014 yet?

I'm planning my RFC for upgrading a production instance with offloaded db to 2014.

Anyone have success stories with this so far? Any issues with the MySQL db upgrade?

I did upgrade my remote dbs (mysql and postgres) on my drbd failover test cluster. Worked fine.

That was part of the upgrade script or did you need to upgrade those DBs separately?

Hey Andrew,

I just talked with Abrist and it sounds like he just left the offloaded DB as it was as far as it's version goes. Are you having any issues with your offloaded DB after the upgrade? Or is this just on your pre-upgrade checklist.

Pre-upgrade.

My change control process for this upgrade must be as water-tight as possible. We have two product lines, the older is monitored by an XI instance all on one box, similar to my test instance that was upgraded without error (albeit some wizard/template items to correct). The new platform is offloaded MySQL along with mod_gearman setup. That's the one I'm nervous about :o

On the point of Mod_gearman, you are going to want to read through this thread (particularly the last post of mine):
