You will need to resolve any current and outstanding configuration errors on the server before Nagios can stop during the update process. To do this, navigate to CCM > Tools > Write Configs Tool, write/verify then resolve the errors shown there, then you should be able to complete the upgrade.

What is the result of a manual verification?
Code: Select all
/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg
Are any errors showing up?

Was that with the CCM, or the manual verification? What does nagios tell you when you try to restart it:
Also, what are the last dates associated with some of your config files?:
They should be right in line with the last time you applied configuration, if you have any way of verifying this for us that would be great.

Ok...I did a restore and got myself back up and running and then started the process all over. Attached is a screen shot of the Write\Verify error through the CCM after the upgrade fails. The manual verification provides the same message.
I check the config files and they are all dated May 2 at 15:06, which would have been the last update I did.

Go to CCM -> Services and search for 192.168.16 207
One of the services listed does not have any hosts or service description.
If you click the disk icon you will see the service definition file and can see exactly what the offending service is that needs to be removed.
