nagios quick search not showing all hosts

When i type box*; it only show's one box instead of 5. When i remove /usr/local/nagios/var/retention.dat then i can see all 5 host. After a few minutes then the quick search only comes back with 1 host. Any idea's? Thanks!!

Do all 5 hosts start with "box"? If not, try specifying *box* to wildcard either end.

it all starts with box. I already did both and it doesn't work unless i delete the retention.dat

i have 2 which are identical(one is for testing):

and
Version 4.0.7

I'm not sure if it matters, but i have the following Active Host / Service Checks: 3673 / 36010

That does seem like a lot of services, but it shouldn't affect anything with the search except maybe speed.

I'm not able to recreate the issue on my end. Have you made any changes to your nagios.cfg?

I haven't made any changes. It's just weird that it's only that box with that problem. I'm able to look for everything else with no problem. Here's my nagios.cfg:
