No Graphing after / filled up

Good morning,

The root partition on our primary Nagios XI server filled up...(backups did't seem to rotate) and now none of the performance graphs are displaying for anything. Is there a process that need to be cycled? I just took over the nagios environment and still getting used to how this beast works... :?

Thanks!
Leszek

So it looks like it's catching up...it's displaying yesterdays graphs and adding to them. I'll keep monitoring and confirm when it's caught all the way up to today.

Thx.

Have you cleared up any free space? Is everything on one partition? If not, what is separated out?

I've cleaned / up to under 80%. I have /tmp and /var separated out. The backups went to /store...which is in the root partition. I'm going carve out some space for them elsewhere so this doesn't happen again.

It looks like things are catching up now. I'll keep an eye out on it though!

Thanks!

The biggest increases you will see to space usage is logging levels changing, or large logs in general, and the addition of new hosts/services which procure performance data, as that will cause the creation of RRD files at a predetermined size. Let us know if you run into issues or questions as you do this!

You're quite welcome! I'm going to close this one up, but feel free to open another if you have any new issues.
