Yet another hang on verification

OK, I've seen this post a number of times but nothing I've tried per those posts has worked. I have tried a couple of different techniques to get this to work but nothing yet.

I am trying to get my hosts into Nagios XI. I've done an "autodiscovery", installed the WMI component and also tried to manually install to no avail (I've tried to use both NSS+ and manually configuring WMI, neither works).

After running autodiscovery, all of my hosts appear in CCM but NONE appear in Nagios.

I am running Nagios in VMWare Player using the image (version 2011r.5) under windows 7. I am testing before we purchase.

Please advise.

This is listed in my Monitoring Configuration snapshot. My domain is correct and the object is reachable on my network via IP and hostname/DNS.
Line 14 in my host config is this: Define service { hostname.domainname.org
Obviously I've changed the host and domain names above

Thank you in advance

Check your configuration file(s) to ensure that they contain valid
directives and data defintions

Try troubleshooting the problem, using the steps, outlined in the FAQs section:
http://support.nagios.com/wiki/index.ph ... n_Problems

BTW, are you using any "special characters" in your host name definition?
