Nagioxi Web interface Error.

Hi ,

I am unable to access the NagiosXI Web Interface. I am getting the below error when accessing it.

Version of NagiosXI : Nagios 4.0.7

Code: Select all

Message: A database connection error has been detected, we are attempting to repair the server, if the repair does not resolve the issue, please contact Nagios support.

Run the following from the CLI as root to attempt to repair the DB

/usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/repair_databases.sh

Looks like you have 2 issues, the postgresdb crashed at some point and was unable to remove the lock file. You should be able to correct this with:

rm -f /var/run/postmaster.*.pid
service postgresql start

You will then need to comment out(add # before the line) the livestatus.o neb module in your /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg. If you have updated from 2012 or older to 2014 recently, this will need to be recompiled to work with core 4 again. To get it running now, just comment out the broker module line for livestatus and start the core engine again.

The ndo broken needs to always be enabled as it is required by XI. please uncomment the ndo broker module directive and restart nagios:
