Nagios Core is a monitoring solution that uses a plugin system. Basically, you can use it to check various things such as whether or not HTTP is running, if a server can be reached via ping, if DNS resolves correctly, or just about anything you can think of. It's a free, open-source solution.
Nagios Network Analyzer uses network flow data typically sent from a router to keep tabs on which servers are talking to which, how much bandwidth they use, etc. It is a bit more in-depth in terms of networking specifics than Nagios Core. It is a paid commercial product.
