Host Check with nrds agent

By default, when we accept a new passive agent via unconfigured objects, the host check is also a passive check. How do we automatically ensure that the host check is set up as an active check immediately rather than having to go back through CCM to change the passive host check to active.

That's not currently possible. Unconfigured Objects will never have an active check listed, since it is meant specifically to capture passive check results coming in. And since passive results are quite often used because actives are not possible, there are no provisions for dealing with active checks.

Alternatively, is it possible to automatically assign a freshness threshold to the passive host check?

You could set the xiwizard_passive_host hosttemplate to have freshness and that will apply to all passive hosts.
