Nagios Support Forum

Hi Team,

Could anyone let me know why we need to install Nagios using only source code and why not using RPM packages?
Are there any specific reason behind using tarballs?

Ummm, because we are upstream from the packagers? You can get rpms/debs through your favorite package manager/repo.
