How to change chart legend

Post by rajasegar »

Nagios 2014R1.2
RHEL 6.5 64 Bit

Can you please advice how to change the legend of the graph to actual date instead of week n?

What do you have your graphs filtered for? Time-wise? And what page were you viewing this from? You can filter them further, and even interact with them through Home > Graph Explorer. You can also enable the highcharts graphs and use them instead of PNP through Admin > Manage System Config.

Filter set to Last Month. Week n legend is so hard to process, it would be better in Month names.

HighCharts is fine for single parameters but one you get lots of them in a monitor it is practically unusable with legends taking up all the space and all the overlapped values is a big mess. See example below. Unchecking them one by one is a big pain and they toggle back automatically (probably due to auto refresh)

The only problem with the previous graph module is the Week n based scale, so I would appreciate a solution to get rid of this.

Yep, I spoke with a dev about this last week and it looks like this is being resolved by re-sizing the highcharts graphs in the next (hopefully) update.

So is there any way to change the Week n scale?

I am not sure about this one - it is is "developers question". You can post a feature request on our public tracker and follow up on it, or I can post one internally if you want me to. Thanks!
