I have deleted hosts from the CCM but they are still appearing in Nagios. The new configuration applies with no errors.

I did notice in the configuration snapshots that these hosts are still being written to Nagios config files. It's like they are still in the CCM database but not displayed in the GUI.

I am using the Nagios XI VM and this happens in 2011R1.5 and 2011R.6 (I restored a copy of the VM from backup to test 1.5).

I'm currently working on a new revision of the CCM that will address this issue. Occasionally the removal of the config file will fail and has to be manually deleted. See if this link addresses your issue:
