Service Check Timeout

So, believe it or not, this is the first time I've had plugins running that sometimes take over 60 seconds(large DB queries). I updated service_check_timeout to 90 seconds and may want to bump that even further to 120. Is there any negative impact doubling the default setting?

Other than the obvious chance that other plugins are now able to run much longer, not really. If you have some that are constantly failing at 60 they will now likely fail at 90 or 120, but at that point you should probably look at the cause of the hanging.

I have several that have the timeout set at 120 and haven't seen an issue. My check_nrpe default for ALL unix checks is set at 90 right now, with some specific plugins set to 120. I don't know how many checks you're looking to change, but I doubt you'd see a noticeable impact.

Edit: Trevor beat me...
