I just installed the Nagios Log Server on a clean install of CentOS 6.5. Install seemed to go fine. Logged into the web interface and the status for Elasticsearch Database and Logstash Collector under "System Status" show red exclamation points and report stopped.
I click start on each and they still show stopped.
I was able to add input from a remote rsyslog source and I can see data coming in from those, but the status still says stopped. There are java processed for both elasticsearch and logstash in the ps output.
I've rebooted the system after installation as well.
Any ideas?

Do you have a single instance in the cluster or multiple instances?

Just one instance. This was installed for evaluation. I installed CentOS 6, downloaded the Nagios Log Server tarball, and ran the installation script.
Not much has been done.

Can you provide your install log from when you installed Log Server? Maybe there are some errors.

Just an update.
I can still get you the installation log from the first install, but I did not see anything obviously wrong.
I saved the log and create a new virtual machine. I re-downloaded the tar ball just in case. Second installation went without issue.
