Good morning,

i would like to not receive service notifications when host goes down but only host notification. Is possible to set nagios in this way? I read that configuring ping ,(using check-host-alive), the notifications for the services will not be sent..Is it true?

Normally when a host goes down, it will only send the host notification and it would not send service notifications.
