I have added a new user to Nagios XI via Manage Users -> Add new user - Auth Level "User". I would like this user to receive notifications for about 7 hosts and all associated services. Is there a way to do this without having to edit each host and service and change notifications on each one?

You could assign the user's contact to a contact group and then assign that group to any number of hosts/services at one time. I assume by saying " without having to edit each host and service and change notifications on each one" you are talking about assigning the contact? That must be done for the user to receive alerts for hosts/services.

Yes, I am talking about assigning contacts that will be notified for a particular service or host. A contact group sounds like what I need. Where do I setup contact groups? Thanks!

Disregard my previous question (where do I setup a contact group). What I meant to ask was, how do I assign a contact group to "any number of hosts/services at one time"?

If you have the Enterprise features, you can use the Bulk Modification tool:

Yes, I do have the Enterprise version and Bulk Modifications is what I was looking for.
