Discrepencies from Network Switch / Router Config Wizard

Good morning,
There have been a number of changes to an edge router since it was added to Nagios via the 'Network Switch / Router' Configuration Wizard. I tried removing the router, and then re-adding it again using the 'Network Switch / Router' Configuration Wizard so that it perform another snmpwalk, but it seems to retain out dated/inaccurate data about the interface (services) on the router.
Here is example of what I am seeing:
GigE3/18 - Veeder Root FCU Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet3/10 (index 18) is down.
GigE4/18 - Sting Schools -AHS Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet4/10 (index 42) is down.
GigE7/1 - Lab-RDU-4.0 Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet4/21 (index 53) is down.
GigE7/4 - To-Shippenville ONS-1 Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet4/24 (index 56) is down.
GigE4/17 - Sting Schools -IU8 Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet4/9 (index 41) is down.
GigE7/23 - NetScreen Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet7/15 (index 75) is down.
GigE7/33 - NS01.atlanticbb.net -Primary Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet7/25 (index 85) is down.
GigE7/34 - Motive-1_Server Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet7/26 (index 86) is down.
GigE7/35 - T0-Bradford-ONS-Slot-4 Port-5 1 Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet7/27 (index 87) is down.
GigE8/7 - fw-1-outside Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet7/47 (index 107) is down.
GigE8/35 - To-SBC-01-02 Management Status CRITICAL: Interface GigabitEthernet8/27 (index 135) is down.
The information about the interface in the left column, does not match the right column and it is the same interface. Plus the information is out dated/inaccurate. The pull the data up vi the "Service Details" option under the "Details" menu for our router. I hope this makes sense. It is as if the NAgios database remembers the old data even after the router is deleted and re-added via the Configuration Wizard???
What is the recommended way to update the configuration of a switch/router once it has bee defined in Nagios.
Thank you,
Mark Frew
