Nagios Support Forum

When I add a Host Comment, Service Comment, or Acknowledgement an alarm, they are not saving in Nagios or showing up in the MySQL Database. Other than that, the alerting and other features work fine. The previous version of Nagios Core was working, but these broke since the in-place upgrade to 3.3.1.

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86_64)

PATCHLEVEL = 4

I'm at a loss, we've scoured the logs but no errors are showing up that seem relevant.

Did you update the main nagios.cfg file with the new version so that ndoutils is defined as the event broker?

Also, you may want to check the permissions on the nagios.cmd pipe and make sure that the file exists and that external commands are enabled.
