How can I bulk change the SNMP polling interval for a switch

Post by vijilants »

System:
Nagios XI Version : 2014R2.3
somnms1 2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.i686 i686
CentOS release 6.5 (Final)

Hi,

When you install say a switch or router using the Wizard, you set the SNMP polling interval for say 1 minute and this sets up all the services on the switch, say 48 in total for a 48 port switch to 1 min.

How do I go about changing this polling interval to something different ? Do I have to go through Core Configuration manager and change the polling interval on every single service associated with the host or is there a quicker way of doing this ?

Many Thanks

If you had Nagios XI Enterprise Edition, you could change the check_internal in bulk via the Bulk Modifications Tool.

Are you talking about services created using the "Network Switch / Router" wizard?

If the answer is yes, do you want to change it for the Port Status check or the Bandwidth check?
