Hi,

I wish to customize the look and feel of Nagiosxi, basic stuff through css colors, margins, paddings and images to make it look more to our liking.

I had changed the css within the include/css but when i upgraded to the latest version it was overwrite and im back where im started basically.
a whole day of work was wasted.

I did see a folder name "themes" which was empty, is there someway to maintain the changes? upload a theme for XI?

We currently do not have a theming component, though the themes directory I believe is in place for that possibility in the future. As far as maintaining the changes, it is always a good idea to keep copies in another location in case anything happens to the originals. Since the upgrades will overwrite them, you will need to replace the files manually after an update.

Can i create a new directory in HTML folder? or does it have to be outside if the Nagiosxi folder?

I would keep it out of the /usr/local/nagiosxi directory. You can just keep it in /root or another user's home directory for safe-keeping.
