We have just published a document outlining how to set up SNMP Traps integration for Nagios XI. Feel free to try it out and post your experiences and comments. You can find it in the Library, at http://library.nagios.com/library/produ ... -nagios-xi .

You'll have to be running the 2009R1.2 pre-release code in order to get all parts of the integration to work (although most of it works with 1.1H). You can get the 1.2 pre-release code by downloading the latest devel snapshot (http://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nagi ... vel.tar.gz) and updating your XI instance.

Hello,
I have been trying to set up Nagios to receive traps, but so far I have not been able to do so. The only clue I get from the wizard is "There are no monitoring options to configure with SNMP Traps"... but to go from there has been pretty tricky. Do you have perhaps an example of what we should get when we have monitoring options?? Is it like all the traps defined in the snmptt.conf file should come up on the screen as available??

This is the fist time I use Nagios and to be honest the tutorial is amazing, it is very detailed and useful especially for beginners like me :), but now I am stuck trying to do some troubleshooting, basically I get traps but they cannot be translated.

Thanks for putting all the information in the tutorials together, and hope you can give me a hand with this issue.

Best regards!
Aldo.
