Nagios UUID & Citrix Provisioning Servers

Post by deesysconfig »

I'm currently using Citrix Provisioning Server 7.1 to provision Citrix Xenapp 6.5 servers. Nagios Core is used by the company to monitor servers. The Nagios application was installed onto the Citrix image. All the Citrix provisioned server have the same UUID which prevents that server from being monitored. Servers generate the error "Duplicate UUID...".

I tried to use the @bios/serialnumber in the registry instead of using the UUID, but when I run the wmic bios get serialnumber command the value returned is prefixed with the word "Vmware-"

How can I configure monitoring for these servers ?

What specifically do you mean "the Nagios application"?

Where is this error being reported?

How are your existing servers monitored by Nagios?
