Metrics Display

What are the labels that are need to display entries in the Metrics Page?
I understand that there are very specific labels needed in the service monitors but can't find anywhere what strings are used to search so I can add them into the service name.
What are they for Disk Usage , CPU USage , Memory Usage, Load & Swap

Is it feasible for the Metrics Component to be updated to allow us to change these search strings?

With regards to the Disk Usage display, how does it deal with multiple disks that are returned from the disk monitor - eg: The service checks for all mounted drives and multiple disks are returned.

regards.. Fred

I think Nagios is working on a major update of the metrics component. If you have suggestions for the new version, please post them here: http://tracker.nagios.com/view.php?id=471

Fred - check this post of mine out http://support.nagios.com/forum/viewtop ... 95#p114597

Those are changes I do to my nagios after every update to make the metrics more usable for me. And for linux CPU I make it add the different values together to give a better number.

Redoing the Metrics component is on our todo list (task id 4243). Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA.

Thanks for sharing your work Bandit - not sure if I'm as brave as you ;-) but I might give it a try as it sounds like it may be some time until a supported solution is available.

Fred, we would appreciate your feedback after you try BanditBBS' solution. Please, keep us posted.

You are correct. It will probably take some time as bug reports have priority over feature requests.
