Nagios 4.x & PNP4Nagios

Hi All,
I have Nagios up and running with Nagiosgraph running alongside it (which was a nightmare to install but it is now working). I get various gaps in the graphs which so far I have been unable to fix.
I see a lot of people are now recommending PNP4Nagios instead - is this package better than NagiosGraph? Does it work with Nagios Core 4.x? If so are there any simple instructions I can follow to install and can it be run alongside NagiosGraph?
Thanks as always for any advice!

IMHO, yes.

Yes.

Unknown if they will play nice together. See the pnp4nagios documentation at:

I have a guide here that shows you how to install PNP4Nagios:

Will that guide work for Nagios running on Ubuntu server?
Does anyone have an uninstall guide for NagiosGraph?

No, Box's documentation is specifically for centos/rhel systems. You will need to follow the directions on the pnp4nagios web page.

Unfortunately, I don't think the dev ever created an uninstall script. You will most likely need to walk through the installation in reverse and undo whatever was done through the install.

Got it working without too much trouble so this thread can probably be closed.
Quick question before you do though, can anyone point me in the right direction of how to edit the way the data is displayed on the graphs? For example, using it to display memory usage, it seems to get confused with MB and KB. I am using the built in check_nt plugin with NS Client if that helps

You'll need to edit the templates:
https://docs.pnp4nagios.org/pnp-0.4/tpl
That's a bit outside of the scope of this forum.

I actually did a talk on this at the Nagios World Conference, you can watch it here:

http://www.slideshare.net/nagiosinc/tro ... and-graphs
It's a crash course on performance data and PNP templates.
