Please re-open topic - "Linux host not sending logs"

I am having the same issue as the NLS user in this topic:

Please re-open (unlock) so I can get clarification on the changes the user made to correct the issue. I have followed the message trail and the problem seems to be identical to mine.
I would greatly appreciate the help.

I have unlocked it, however please continue your own troubleshooting in this thread so we can keep them separate.

My fault - Our pesky firewall was blocking UDP between the two vlans. I should have checked that first.
