Hi !!!!


Somebody knows if there is a limit, in the configuration of commands using the "Action Component" ?

Do you know if is possible put a "window message" ( in the "Service Status Detail" page, over the section "Quick Actions" )for ask to the user confirm the execution of a specific command ?

We are Using:

Nagios XI Version : 2014R2.6

Are you looking for an messagebox/alert-style javascript box asking for confirmation of the custom command?

Yes, a messagebox that ask to the user confirm the execution of a quick action that was configured using the "Action Component".

By the way, do you know if exists any restriction in the number of actions that we can configure using the "Action Component"?.

At the moment we have 90 commands configured using the "Action Component", but if we try to configure one more action, we can´t do it, no message error appears ,
only the new command does not appears in the list of "Action Component".

Correction, a message error appears ( this occurs when we try to configure an url or a command ):
"No URL specified on line 91
No action text specified on line 91"

What do you have in the "URL / Command" and "Action Text" text-boxes? Can you show us a screenshot?

Is this quick action on the top or on the bottom of the list? If it is on the bottom, try placing it on top and click on "Apply Settings". Do you get the same error?

Always that we try to configure a new command, the new line on the list appears on the bottom.

I can´t configure a new command on the top of the list.

What version of the actions component are you running? It will list the version next to it on the manage components page.

The version is:

Actions
Adds custom actions to hosts and services.
Version: 1.5.3 Author: Nagios Enterprises, LLC

Can you try upgrading the component to the latest version? Make sure that you take a snaphost/backup before you upgrade it just in case, there shouldn't be any problems but it's always recommended to take snapshots/backups before doing any changes.

You can upgrade it by going to your components and clicking check for updates, then click download next to actions to download it, click Browse up and select the downloaded file, then click Upload Component. Then try it again and let me know if you are still having issues.

While you're doing that I'll try to replicate the issue on my end, I have to find a quick way to create 90 of them.

Ok, i'm gonna check the recommended procedure.

And just it happens !!!! We have registered 90 "Quick Actions", and when we gonna register one more, we can´t do it.
