check_mem script does not have "-n" option

Post by inas.labib »

Hi,

I am trying to monitor the memory usage using a nagios XI new installation and I can see that it is giving me warning all the time and I read all related posts and yes I have dc installed and my nagios XI version is Nagios XI 2014R2.6.
I have other nagios XI server and it is working fine. so, when I checked the /usr/local/nagios/libexec/custom_check_mem on the working server I found "-n" which is not there on the new server.
Please advise,

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I think I found the problem. It is nagios agent version issue.
NRPE version NRPE v2.14 is working fine but I am having this issue with NRPE version v2.12.
But I can not find any documentation on how upgrade nagios agent on linux machine.
Please advise.

Thanks,
Inas

This document describes how to install NRPE. Running through the install process again should overwrite your existing installation, probably even your nrpe.cfg so grab a backup of that. Let us know if it doesn't work proper and we'll troubleshoot.
