Can you elaborate a bit? What did you hear and where did you hear it?

What type of issue are you aware of? I recommend trying the plugin out and reporting on specific issues - from there it's possible that we could modify the script to better suit your environment.

Based on the comments on a related plugin: http://exchange.nagios.org/directory/Pl ... in/details it looks like GoDaddy changes their whois reports occasionally, which can break the monitoring of certain information.

I used the domain monitoring wizard and i got a error similar to this then i removed it
CRITICAL - Domain godaddy.com will expire in -16448 days (clientRenewProhibited).
also says cfjh.net

While researching around i found out it had something to do with godaddy

someone said
New GoDaddy WHOIS Format Not Parsed Properly

I just redid this whole thing

I get
Domain Expiration Ok 1m 1s 1/5 2015-04-28 12:47:05 OK - Domain cfjh.net will expire in 32 days (2015-05-30T13:22:45Z).
this is with check_xi_domain_v2 command
but on the host side which is the one i ran the wizard for its red saying CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 10 seconds

The host is red with CRITICAL - Socket timeout after 10 seconds
the service is green with Domain Expiration Ok 1m 1s 1/5 2015-04-28 12:47:05 OK - Domain cfjh.net will expire in 32 days (2015-05-30T13:22:45Z).
the service had a - 10000 number the 1st time but after redoing it it was good but now have issue with the host

The host is suppose to say
HTTP OK: HTTP/1.1 200 OK - 36432 bytes in 0.029 second response time

Sometimes it takes a few head-bangings to get it to work :)

What was the ultimate fix?

The IP was external so along with the hostname I had to include the IP.
