We have to rebuild our NLS server. There is nothing wrong with it. it is not busted. Those who know, know why I had to clarify that lol :D
I have 2tb of storage space on my server. I want this to be where NLS stores its logfiles.
Which directory do we use? root or home?

Pretty much wherever you want:

https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... Server.pdf

Though I might suggest creating a separate partition for the data if you have 2TB to deal with. As for the mount point, it could be called /chickenwings for all Logserver cares.

By default, Nagios Log Server will store all of its logs in /usr/local/nagioslogserver/elasticsearch/data/ - this directory is on the root partition by default.

If your only partitions are /home and /root, give root the space.
