hello all ,
I am running nagios core 3 and am having an issue with a new check I am trying to run.
I have been running multiple web checks thru the years with no issues til now. I am trying to check a internal intranet page for content but before I can get to the page to monitor, you have to log in. I have tried running check_http with -a and a user:password but it will not connect. When you log into the web site with a user & pword, the page is using javascript authentication. Is there any whey to use a nagios check to look for content on a web page with java authentication?
Thanks,
Steve

Re: check_http help with authentication issues
Is it Java or javascript? If it's Java you're probably talking about an app, not a page, it just happens to be embedded in a page. If it's javascript - well we still can't really help you with check_http. The only authentication mechanism it supports is basic auth. If you cannot pass credentials in your URL (very unlikely no matter if it's js or Java) then you'll have to write a custom plugin.a31modela wrote:the page is using javascript authentication.

Re: check_http help with authentication issues
Since it sounds like we can't help with check_http is it OK if I lock the topic?
