Host availability giving wrong value

Dear Expert

There is bug in View Host Availability (Pie Chart), after long checking each outage and found NagiosXI as well as Nagios Core giving wrong value because in my case it missed one outage.

FYI, the outage is there in the View Host History but got missed in View Host Availability.

We were observing this error from long but ignoring and relying on our manual calculation, however this month there was big argument with our customer , they were saying more outage period while we telling less. Finally we found Nagios Core and NagiosXI both giving wrong value while missing one outage.

there is no question we selection first Host is UP or DOWN, as the entry got missed was 10th May 2015 (attached), which is middle of the month. The starting and ending entries taken care by Nagios & XI.

May be you will ask all the log entry but sorry , we cannot provide those all (hope this attachment is more than enough for Expert).

We using NagiosXI 2014R2.0

Regards

Are you specifying a timeperiod when running the availability report? If so, please post the timeperiod definition.

Dear ssax

01-May-2015 to 31-May-2015 23:59:59 as its monthly report.

Hope you have noticed and compared, in the right side there is record for 10-May-2015 (link down/up , we call it outage) in the Host View History, while same missing at the left (Availability)

Regards

I don't see a pie chart?

I am seeing a state history screen on the right for services, and I'm seeing host log entries on the left from a Core interface, is that right? I'm not sure I understand how we're supposed to correlate those - hosts and services aren't generally correlated.
