NRDP setup instructions

We are in the process of configuring NRDP passive submissions, however we can find no detailed instructions on how to set up the NRDP on the client side which submits the check data to the Nagios XI server. I have tested the NRDP by going to myserver.com/nrdp and submitting the test data and that is correctly showing up as an unconfigured object in my server, but we need help setting up our clients to submit the checks to our Nagios XI server regarding CPU, RAM, and various disk drives and windows services.

Can anybody help with the configuration of the NRDP service?

Thanks!

The easiest way would be to use NRDS (which uses NRDP). You can set up your configs under the NRDS Config Manager, and install NRDS on the client machine. For more info, review our documentation on the topic:

Is there a way of using NRDP with the existing NRDP processor of Nagios XI along with a client agent such as NSClient++?

I recommend checking out the following page of documentation: http://docs.nsclient.org/reference/NRDPClient.html

According to the above link, setup should be able to be completed by modifying the nsclient.ini file appropriately.

I would like to reproduce this on my end and give you a working configuration - what exactly are you looking at sending back to Nagios XI in terms of passive results? I see that you mentioned CPU, RAM, disk drives, and services. Anything beyond that?
