Hi guys! I have common templates for HDD, Ram, CPU, etc. They are categorized in high, med, low. Each new host is added to the corresponding category. THe low category only has notifications enabled for the timeperiod workhours. I was trying to think a way, if i need to do an exception for a host with low templates to send notifications 24x7. Without changing the template for that host to med. I was thinking in making a Hostgroup like Low_Exceptions where all servers in there will be notified 24x7. SOmething like that. Is that possible?
Thanks!

If you assign the notification period directly to the host, it will override the period from the template.
That is what you could do.

Yes. that will only work for the host. As the service is applied to groups only. I want to do something that suits services also. Like an override to services when i put the host in a group.
Perhaps i can only do another template called low_exceptions and assigned that to the service individually.. Just thinking out loud...
Thanks!

The way this works is the closest dependency to the host or service overrides the farther dependency.
So you could create a low_exception service template and assign it to the service and that should do it for you.
