Hello Sir,

I have configured PNP4Nagios2.0 along with my Nagios 4.0.8
I can see that there are some entries created in the MySQL tables after starting PNP4Nagios

But I can see that the the rrd file on the location
/usr/local/pnp4nagios/var/perfdata/localhost is still getting updated.

This files should not get updated right? as I am saving all my data to MySQL
And if this is getting updated then is mysql saving my data? How do I confirm that
If MySQL is saving the data then I need to stop logging this data in the files.

What does Nagios stores in MySQL?

These are all my doubts. Please help!!!

The rrd files should be updated as that is where the data is stored for the graphs.
Depending on how your system is setup, the mysql database should hold the configurations settings and historical data is all of the checks, etc...

PNP is an addon to Nagios which analyzes performance data provided by plugins and stores them automatically into RRD-databases (Round Robin Databases, see RRD Tool).
Technically speaking RRD files are databases.

To answer your question, PNP4Nagios is not written to store data in MySQL.
