I Have installed Nagios 4.1.1 with the help of https://www.digitalocean.com/community/ ... untu-14-04 . Evrything went well except the end in the browser I am getting an Error: Could not read object configuration data! . However when I checked /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log its showing unable to create tmp file at /usr/local/nagios/var location . Permissions for this entire /usr/local/nagios folder is permitted from nagios user.

-rwxr-xr-x 1 nagios nagios 159358 Sep 8 15:24 /usr/local/nagios/var/nagios.log


Please help me .

Are you even able to get to the login page, or can you not hit anything at all?

Do you think you could post the parts relevant to the Nagios installation from your history command output?
