Cosmetic - Home Dashboard formatting issue

Using Nagios Fusion 2014R1.1, here are the steps:

Go to Dashboard tab
select "Home Page" dashboard
Put two things on it, nicely formatted on top of each other, with the top element basically at the top of the page:

Now go to Home tab
Bask in the awkward formatting of the second element

I'm assuming that this is because there is now a header called "Nagios Fusion" in the home page view of the dashboard that is not there during dashboard design. As a result, the formatting of the first item is moved down to make room for the header, but the second item retains its vertical position relative to the physical page, not the first element. They end up being squashed together.

Moving the elements down a few lines on the dashboard ends up fixing this problem for some reason, which makes no sense to me. If things are being moved to make room for the header, then I expect them to always be moved, not just if the element is inside the header's original space (stop touching me!!!!).

Looking forward to hearing thoughts on why this is and if there's any hope for a fix (other than, "hey, Eric, always make your dashboards start 1.5em+bold from the top of the page") :-)

Mine actually hovers over the title, I used the lock button though, did you lock yours and it still did it? I'm not sure if they'll be an easy fix for it because I think it uses absolute positioning.

I think you're right, I'll bring this up with the devs. They're hitting XI pretty hard right now, so I doubt this will be looked at until after the conference.

"hey, Eric..." :)

I don't have a better answer at the moment.

Yes, I locked it. As I said - it's a cosmetic thing

@tm - the easiest thing might be to add a similar header to the Dashboard editing screen just to make sure things get put in the same place on both screens. :-)

See you in a week.
