Hello,

I have an active support contract, account is pending for the general support membership but wanted to post this to see if anyone could help out.

We have a lot of branch offices which are managed by a 3rd party contractor. Each has a DMVPN connection that we are monitoring using Nagios XI. We are attempting to setup a notification piece to alert us if 5 or more locations are down.

I was attempting an escalated notification system but could not do it based on group.

Any Ideas?

Yes BPI was exactly what we were looking for. I created a group with the Wizard and setup a small test batch with a 'failed' location, however the main group never goes to warning or critical. Thoughts?

We don't know what you have set for thresholds, however your test doesn't appear to have 5 group members down, only 1.

Yes I have the warning at 99% and critical at 98% also the down host was checked as essential

We'll happily take a look at your bpi.conf to help troubleshoot if you send it along.

If you set health thresholds as such:

Warning = 30
Critical = 20

and you don't have any of the members set as "essential", the state of the BPI group will change to "Warning" if 4 members are down, and "Critical" when all 5 members are down.
