New To Nagios

We have installed Nagios, everything went down great until I started testing notifications, I am able to send notifications via command line however when I allow the application to send to e-mails I am getting "nagios exit code 126 means plugin is not executable" and no notifications are sent. I have surfed and found many area's however cannot locate what needs to be fixed or patched or how...thanks [email protected]
