I am trying to set up a Nagiosxi -64 bit server on VmWare player version 7.
I previously tried vmplayer version 12, and got the same result.
I am running Windows 10 on my computer.
I downloaded the 64 bit vmc Nagiosxi file from the website and extracted it.
I downloaded and installed VMware player version 7.
When trying to open a vm i got a popup saying I needed the standalone VmWare converter using client server setting.
I downloaded and installed the WMware converter version 6.
I had to change the HTTP service port from 80 to 81 because 80 was being used by NT kernel and system and I could not stop it.
When I try to open the Nagiosxi -64bit vmc file in VMware player I get the error "Failed to open virtual machine: Failed to import"nagiosxi-64"".
Any help is appreciated.
Failed to open virtual machine: Failed to import "nagiosxi"
Re: Failed to open virtual machine: Failed to import "nagios
I noticed you said that you extracted the file. For VMWare, you can directly open the .ova file. Can you please clarify which file you downloaded - was it the .zip or the .ova file from our site?
If it was the .zip, download the .ova file and it should work.
If it was the .zip, download the .ova file and it should work.

Yup, that would be where I went wrong. Thanks for such a quick reply, I really appreciate it.
