Google Maps Hostgroup Functionality

At the conference in the developer's session, it was indicated that adding host group selection functionality to the Google Maps component would be relatively easy to implement and that we could likely see that change in the following weeks, any updates or progress on this front? I've implemented this in Splunk by feeding it the Nagios data but would like to see it natively under the XI hood.

I've reached out to the developers on this to see what they have to say, I'll let you know when they respond.

Just so I'm clear on what you're looking for, are you just looking for a dropdown hostgroups that would limit the markers that are shown?

Absolutely! Then I could create regional, or application specific, etc. dashboards for those service owners!

Service groups might be beneficial as well, but we would be happy with host groups (I've seen other posts related to this topic as well in the XI forums).

I'm trying to get it working for you, it might take me a few days to get it done, if you don't hear from me by the end of Friday, post a reply.

Thank you

I'm getting close but still not finished, I'm about 3/4 of the way done with it.

Go to Admin > Manage Components
- Click the Browse button and find the zip you downloaded
- Click the Upload & Install button

Thank you
