Commas in quick actions

Post by snapon_admin »

For some reason there are a couple of commas showing up in the quick actions box on our 5.2.2 server that aren't on our prod server, which is still on 2014R2.5. How would I go about getting rid of those?

Same issue here. There was a patch which made it better as before I had one " per hostgroup. After the patch I only have 1 or 2 ".

Oh yeah, that's strange. I checked another host and it has 2 " instead of 2 ' on it. Thought they were commas at first, but looking again yeah they look more like apostrophes.

Can I ask what the 'Instructions [BETA] does?"

Yeah, that just links to an external site where I have created a sort of wiki page for our 24/7 Operations team that holds all of the instructions that they're to follow for various alerts. There's also a link to said page in all of our Notifications. All of their instructions were located on various spreadsheets, word docs, notes pages, included in some emails and not others, etc. so I decided to consolidate all of that into one spot. It's [BETA] because I'm still in the process of adding all of their instructions to it. Here's an example of what the "button" looks like in our notification emails:

What is the version of the "Actions" component that you are currently using?

1.6.0 on the XI 5 server that's having the issue. Was 1.4.0 on the XI 2014 server until I updated it to 1.5.5. Did a check for update again on the 2014 server and it says 1.5.5 is the latest version.

I would recommend upgrading to version 1.6.1 of the Actions component. I can see the following line in the change log:
- Fixed a bug where erroneous commas were being displayed in the quick actions table -LG

Ah, yep that did it. Must have been a recent update, I actually meant to post this a couple weeks ago but forgot until today. At the time 1.6.1 wasn't available so I just assumed it still wasn't. That'll teach me to assume...thanks!
