NagiosXI 5.2.2 and large AD infrastructure

I am setting up Nagios XI 5.2.2. I have gotten the integration with our active directory working. However, we have a very large infrastructure. There are 30,000 employee records alone. Unfortunately, the web interface is limited to how many records it will return. I was not able to see beyond our users starting with the letter "c".

I would like to limit the original search to a specific OU and CN. It appears that the AD integration app does not accept OU or CN fields, only DC fields. Whenever I try to specify beyond the DC, I am unable to find any users (despite it being a valid search).

Does anyone have recommendations about how to use Nagios XI 5.2.2 and large active directory or ldap infrastructures?

Thanks!

As of right now there is not really a good way to search such a large set of users besides setting MaxPageSize to be higher than the user amount - this is probably not possible for most people though.

We are working on getting a search in there and some sort of paging support even though php's ldap doesn't play nice with Active Directory.

A search field would work for us. If we were able to limit the original base dn to accept ou and cn fields, we could restrict Nagios view into only small subset of users.

Thanks for looking into it.

I have filed a feature request for this, ID #7231.

As @jomann mentioned it's on the roadmap, and a FR has been filed. Do you mind if I close this thread out?
