Micorosft exchange 2010 critical errors

I'm monitoring a microsoft exchange 2010 server. I've intalled NCPA 1.8.1 client on the server
I'm getting the following error critical due to socket time out.
Exchange Core Service
Exchange Web Service
Messages Pending routing
Remote Queue Length
I double check with another free exchange monitoring tool and no error popped up, we aren't experiencing any issues with the mail server, and I've only just set it up in Nagios XI.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are other services on the same host working, or are they all timing out?
Can you post a screenshot of the service definition for one of these services?

Can you try adding -t 120 to $ARG4$ and then force the check?
It may be timing out waiting for the information. If this doesn't work, can you provide a screenshot of the exact error message?

This may be because the port is hard coded in the command (12489), can you try to create a new command with port 5693 and see if it works for you?

perfect thanks, I did one better and set the NCPA client to 12489, all timeout the errors are now cleared..
thanks for the education, seems a bit silly to default the NCPA client and the check to 2 different ports..

NSClient by default is 12489, NCPA is 5667. Are you using the Windows Wizard to do checks versus NCPA? There's a separate wizard for NCPA.

Update: updating the port number actually didn't work the client stopped all reporting. I changed the port and logged into the web interface on the exchange server and it wasn't reportingh any data at all.. no cpu memory etc... (yes I performed a restart on the services to make sure the new port oin the config file took) setting it back to default and restarting servers saw the data again.
on the wizard
The wizard I ran was the MS Exchange wizard, in the documentation on installing a client actually points me to installing the NCPA client as a preference, closer inspection the wizard uses NSClient++.. No other check for MS Exchange exists for NCPA, I will need to create a custom check (which I know can at least see how they fit into the grand scheme of Nagios).
Feedback
Would be good to specicially state in the wizard the dependancy on NSClient++ given portnumber is hardcoded;
or
remove the hardcoded port and have a drop down box to choose which client are using and add it as an arg.
Thanks for you help, happy to close this thread. I know the problem and now just need to implement the appropriate fix (ie install the NSClient or use the NCPA check and customise the services I want to monitor

It looks like there has been some confusion, I'd like to get this fixed.
The ports are hard coded based on what agent is being used. Commands can always be modified to your needs though based on your environment.
Could you confirm what version of the Exchange Server plugin you're using? (Admin -> Manage Config Wizards)
I just checked on 1.2.3 and it actually points to two links -
