Adding CPU cores and RAM to XI

Is there any special procedure for adding CPU cores and increasing RAM for XI VMappliance (one we initially installed from Nagios XI template downloaded)

Not particularly.

We have a sizing guide here:

My rule of thumb is that when XI and all it's services are in a healthy state, your server should have at least 50% more memory than what is being consumed at that point in time.
