Hello ,

I have a huge list of SQL Event IDs (around 700) to monitor using Nagios XI.what could be the best approach to configure in Nagios ?
I could see there is an option using NagEventLog , where we can give Event Ids { Comma list},however I want to know is there any Limitation to provide Event IDs ? and how effective it is working ?

other than this is there any best Practice that I can follow to do the event IDs Monitoring ?

Thanks
Damera

What is your end goal with all of these SQL Event ID's? What would you like to see Nagios do?

I'm a bit confused what exactly you'd like to accomplish so a little bit of clarification will help paitn a picture! :D

Ultimately I need a NAGIOS ALERT, subsequent email/auto ticket for these event Ids.

Got it, I truly think log server may be a better solution in this case

Ah, for MSSQL, what version of Windows are you running? The reason I ask is because it looks like there are some mixed reviews on the exchange -

Have you tried installing it yet?
